Upp till Kamp

I missed this show when it aired on tv, but now I will give it a chance.

Y: The Last Man

Now I've finally got around to reading Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. I've also bought A Game of You, the fifth installment in Neil Gaimans The Sandman series. I read them all a couple of years ago, but they have been sadly missed in the bookshelf.

Alex James - Bit of a Blur

Finally a day off. I'm going to spend it in the company of Ricky Gervais and this book:

AC4 - Umeå Hardcore EP

I really have to get my hands on one of this. I would love to be able to get a hold of the one sold at the release party.

Invasionen @ Sticky Fingers

Tonight it's time again to enjoy the sounds of Invasionen. Together with the opening act En Svensk Tiger, they're playing a gig at Sticky Fingers. I've been looking forward to seeing them again.

Bijitâ Q

Review: I have seen a couple of Takashi Miike's movies before and quite enjoyed them. But I have to say that this one is my favourite so far. Totally wonderful in all its weirdness!

Andres Lokko - Andres 1989-1998

The sun is shining and it's actually kind of warm outside. You know what that means? That it's a perfect day to stay inside and begin reading part one of Andres Lokko's collected writings.  854 pages. Sweet!

New Refused album?

No. Refused are not making a comeback. They're not even releasing any real new material. Epitaph will however release the classic The Shape of Punk to Come in a deluxe version on both CD and vinyl. In the package will also be a live CD and the DVD Refused are Fucking Dead. I know what I will buy. The limited version on white vinyl.

Sober Living for the Revolution: Hardcore Punk, Straight Edge, and Radical Politics

Even if hardcore punk nor straight edge is your cup of tea, I totally recommend you to read Sober Living for the Revolution: Hardcore Punk, Straight Edge, and Radical Politics by Gabriel Kuhn. It's a surprisingly critical and interesting read about sobriety, straight edge and politics. Here you get to hear both positive reports as well as quite negative tales about straight edge and about sober living in radical groups.
And if you live in the Gotenburg area I think you should come to Nordengården on April 28th, when Gabriel Kuhn will come and talk about the book. More about that event here.

No Distance Left to Run

No Distance Left to Run

Review: This documentary about Blur is really worth checking out. It felt way more honest and warm than I had expected.

Glen Porter

Big up to my man Mich Moser, the man behind the incredible label Mism Records. Thanks to him I now get to enjoy the awesome sounds of Glen Porter on my way to work. Instrumental hiphop with beats to die for.

Tenkû no shiro Rapyuta

This Good Friday is bound to be a lazy one, and what is better to do on lazy days than to watch good movies? The movie that will capture my imagination today is Tenkû no shiro Rapyuta. I'm not sure actually if I've seen it before or not, but that doesn't really matter. Writer and director Hayao Miyazaki has never disappointed me.
