One of my absolute favourite albums of 2010 was Youngster by rickoLus. So to say that I was looking forward to his follow up is an understatement. And now it's here in the form of a digital release and limited edition cassette. On Coyote and Mule he has continued to perfect his mix of lovely lo-fi pop melodies and sonic weirdness, and he succeeds once again to create something personal and something distinct. Each song is a finished product in itself at the same time as they together makes a complete storybook. rickoLus is the narrator that brings us whereever he wants to go, and we all follow willingly.
