Myn Dwun - How to Rob Herb Land Vol. 1
Myn Dwun's How to Rob Herb Land Vol. 1 is not a easily digested piece of music. It's dirty, distorted and filled with weird twists and turns. And I have to admit, after the first listen I wasn't really convinced. It didn't sound bad, but it didn't really catch my attention too much. But then I listened to it some more and it kind of opened up more with each listen. And the more I listen to it, the more I started to enjoy the songs and the productions. It will never be a straight forward album to listen to, but it is however a good album and that's what counts.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Review: Another Planet of the Apes movie. I can't say that I had big expectations about this one, but it ended up being ok. Mostly because of the effects. The CGI of the chimpanzees was really good and realistic. I just wished that the real actors had been as good.

Review: Another music documentary. This time about some of the most important people in the house music scene. A really interesting historical document that feels like a perfect companion to the book Last Night a DJ Saved my Life: the History of the Disc Jockey.

Review: If you don't like dubstep at all and have no interest in it what so ever, then don't watch this documentary. It's 2h43min of a lot of technical geekiness and terminology. A bit too long, but still an ok watch.

It's All Gone Pete Tong
It's All Gone Pete Tong
Review: I know I heard about this movie when it came out, but for some reason I never got around to see it then. Better late than never though. And it was really good. Paul Kaye is brilliant in the role as Frankie Wilde, a DJ who goes deaf. If you haven't seen it already, I think you should. Great soundtrack too.

The Greatest Movie Ever Sold
The Greatest Movie Ever Sold
Review: I've been watching a lot of movies the last few days. Reason? I'm home sick. When I'm sick I like to watch stuff that makes me happy and make me laugh. So I decided to check out this latest documentary by Morgan Spurluck. It's about product placement and at the same time it's about him getting companies to sponsor the movie. It sounds more fun to begin with than it actually ends up being. Not very memorable.

Review: Yet another superhero movie. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. But at the same time, a bit of a waste of good actors. Worth checking out though if you're in the mood for a well made action flick.

Super 8
Super 8
Review: Super 8 is probably one of the most talked about movies of 2011. And do Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams live up to the hype? They sure do. This is a great movie in every way, and they really show why they are some of the finest storytellers of today. Almost 2 hours of pure entertainment and escape from reality. Precisely the way a movie should be. I must also mention the great acting from, in particular, Elle Fanning and Joel Courtney.

Busdriver & Loden - Leaf House
Busdriver and Loden have made a cover of Animal Collective's song Leaf House which is worth checking out. Must add that I prefer the original though.

Little Eskimo Jesus - Being Alone
I can't even begin to tell you how much I've been looking forward to this, but here is a new video from my favourites Little Eskimo Jesus. Video made by Ira Lee and track produced beautifully as always by mattr. Can't wait for the upcoming album!

Poolboy
Review: There are bad movies, and there are bad movies. And then there are the kind of movies that my oldest brother and I recommend to each other. Poolboy is one of those movies. It's really, really crappy. And I somehow enjoyed every minute of it.

The Tallest Man on Earth Working on Film Score
The Tallest Man on Earth is teaming up with Idiot Wind to make the music to the forthcoming film Once A Year. The romantic drama will reportedly feature seven songs recorded by TTMOE and Idiot Wind exclusively for the film. Once A Year currently does not have a release date. For those who are not familiar with the artists, here's their live duet of the song Thrown Right At Me.

The first video from Triune Gods is finally here. Scott Da Ros, bleubird and Sibitt should definitely not be slept on.

AWOL One and Nathaniel Motte - Cheap Sunglasses feat. Abstract Rude
This is England '86
I have no idea how I could have missed out on This is England '86. It's a spin-off from the movie This is England and is set 3 years later. I have only watched the first of the four episodes yet, but I can tell you already. I love it!
Rheteric Ramirez - Break Tha Bank
I kinda dig Rheteric Ramirez as a battle rapper. But like too many battle rappers, it doesn't quite translate as well to records. This track is really nice though. But more because of the beats than Rheterics lines and flow. Would rather listen to just the instrumental, or with someone doing something interesting over the beat.
