Soundtrack of Week 35

This week has been a really good musical week. Mostly because I've had time to actually listen to a lot of new music.

Das Racist - Who's That? Brooown!

Awesome video from the guys in Das Racist. Gotta love it!

R

R

Review: I didn't really have any real expectations about this movie. I hadn't even heard about it before my friend asked me if I wanted to go and see it. But I thought, hey, Danish movies are usually good. And guess what? R was better than good. It was awesome! I won't go in to any kind of details about it except that it is brutal, raw and brilliant. And then I will end this by saying that this is one of the best movies I've seen this year. Period.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood

Review: I wonder how many movies about Robin Hood I've seen? Quite a few I would guess. Not many of them any good. So how about Ridley Scotts version? Is it anything to see? Well, yeah. It's watchable and a bit of easy entertainment. Too long though, and Russell Crowe is as dry as always.

Countdown of The Sopranos

Four seasons down, two to go. And season 5 of The Sopranos is what I've been looking forward to. It's finally time for Tony Blundetto to make his appearance. Since most people know who saw this show a couple of shows back, Tony B is played by no other than my favourite actor, Steve Buscemi. This will be the perfect treat before Boardwalk Empire opens up in a couple of weeks.

Evil Ebenezer - Take Me With You

Good new song and video from Evil Ebenezer. The song is taken from the upcoming album Evil Eye that drops on Halloween on Camobear Records.

Salt

Salt

Review: Except for Girl, Interrupted, has Angelina Jolie made any good movies? No, not really. But somehow she doesn't seem to have to. All she has to do is pose with her oversized lips and the roles keep coming. That, and being married to Brad Pitt and collecting kids from all over the world to her collection. Salt is not a good movie either. It's your typical action thriller. Typical in the sense that it's quite braindead and not the least bit exciting.

The Dark Knight Returns

There really is no better way to end an evening than by laying indoors, hearing the rain against the window and reading a good book. Or comic book album which is the case today.

Isha - A Place to Call Home

My friend Isha and me goes back a long time. I love him to death and I'm proud to call him my friend. And his first video from his upcoming album Call it a Lullaby makes me even more proud. I really like the song and I totally love the video that is directed by Isha himself. Can't wait for the album to hit the streets!

The Expendables (The Review)

The Expendables

Review:  This movie have actually been one of the movies I've been looking forward to the most this last year. And not because I've been thinking that it would be a great movie. No, not even a good movie. But let's face it. An action flick with the kind of cast that The Expendables have is a true must see. And how was this movie that consists of names like Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Mickey Rourke and Steve Austin? It was nothing but crappy non-stop violence and bad acting. Was I disappointed? Hell no! It was all that I thought it would be.

El-P - Time Won't Tell

El-P is really one of those artists which I always long to hear new material from. And when I do I rarely get disappointed. Here is some good stuff from his mix Weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3.

Paul Heaton

I just realised that one of the artists whose music I've been a fan of the longest has to be Paul Heaton. It all started way back in 1986 with The Housemartins. Then after that in the late 80's and early 90's came The Beautiful South. And nowadays it just Paul Heaton. He's been a part of life for almost 25 years now, and I still love his music just as much as I did back in 1986.
