127 Hours

127 Hours

Review: Who'd really thought that James Franco would turn out to be a good actor? Even though he's been in some descent pictures he's never really impressed that much as an actor. But now he's done it twice in 2 years. First in the amazing movie Milk, and now in the role as Aron Ralston in 127 Hours. This is the true story of Aron who, while canyoneering alone, gets trapped under a boulder, and how he struggles to survive and to stay sane. Franco is great in the lead, and the movie is also really visually beautiful. Director Danny Boyle seems to have fallen in love with the magic of colours and light while making Slumdog Millionaire. I didn't have too high expectations of this movie, but was pleasantly surprised. Go see it.
